Rena Grubb is in trouble! She is 15, pregnant and doesn't like life anymore. Her suicide attempts don't help her either. Rena has pinned all her hopes on her father. Unfortunately, he's been in prison for 7 years for murder. Despite Rena's stepsister's vehement protests and her brother's misgivings, the family abandons their worn-out trailer for the annual prison picnic. While in prison, the family's true feelings and dreams surface as the father reveals a secret relationship he has with stepsister Barbie.
