Före Stormen plot
Ali El-Rashid, a man of Arab descent, lives as a taxi driver in Gothenburg. He lives a fairly happy life and has, over the years, renounced his country of origin and his political past. Leo (12) is in class with Ali's daughter Sara; he is silently in love with her. But his everyday life at school is governed by Danne, an older boy who is harassing him terribly. During a chance meeting between Ali and Leo, the good-natured taxi driver advises the young teenager to stand up for himself. "If you love someone, you have to take an action to prove your love with it." Leo performs an act. At the same time, a nightmare begins for the taxi driver when a shadow from his past forces itself upon him.
